A taste of summer
We're solidly into summer now and our summer menus have finally launched, beginning from tomorrow. We've got some delicious recipes lined up for all of the children at Snapdragons to enjoy over the coming months, so head over to our healthy eating page to read the menus and find out which dates each one will run on.
Get out your piratey garb. Chillfest is back.
As we approach the summer, we're all gearing up for the highlight of the season - the Snapdragons Chillfest. Well, worry no more piratey friends, because Chillfest is not far away. In fact, it's on Saturday 17th June, from 1-4pm.
Our nautical theme has proved a hit in years gone by, so we want to see you all in your best pirate outfits on the day, showing us the weathered sea-sailors that we know you all are.
We'll also be enjoying the musical talents of Jamma de Samba once more, who dazzled us all last year with their rhythmic drums, providing the heartbeat to the afternoon. But we'll also have all of the best activities and stalls, a bouncy castle, the delicious barbecue food, as well as the Father's Day fun too.
Yes, once again, the lucky dads will be able to get free pirate tattoos when they arrive, as well as take part in our tug of war to prove once and for all who the strongest dads out there are.
All the money raised this year will be going to The Grand Appeal for Bristol Children's Hospital and so we'd love to have as many of you there as possible to help. Chillfest will be held at Snapdragons Weston again, but everyone is welcome whether they attend Snapdragons or not - we'd love to have you! But only if you're prepared to walk the plank...

Our new issue of the Snapdragons Magazine is now available both online and (soon) at the nurseries. We've got some great news stories to bring you from all over, including Red Nose Day, Beep Beep Day and the Holi festival. We've also got a fantastic article by Janey Mondal on how we incorporate outdoor learning into our experiences at Snapdragons and many more great features.

It's that time of year again everyone, as we've just sent out links to our annual Parent Questionnaire, giving families at Snapdragons the chance to have their say, providing invaluable feedback on the care we provide - feedback that helps shape our nurseries for the next year.
Once again, we're offering one lucky participant the opportunity to win a week of free childcare, which means you could have some extra cash in your pocket to treat yourself to a nice meal out somewhere.
Links have been emailed to all current families at Snapdragons, but if you haven't seen one (and think you should have), then check in at your nursery to find out how to get access.

Success at the Snapdragons Quiz!
The Snapdragons Quiz returned on Saturday night, starting its tour at Snapdragons Corsham, where 30 parents took part in six rounds of questions.
Starting with a delicious chilli con carne, the action swiftly begun, as everyone prepared to get stuck in. What followed was a selection of fun and engaging questions, designed to let everyone play a part. We're not fans of quizzes that only test the encyclopaedia buffs. Or quizzes that make you feel like you know nothing. Because they're not really that fun.
So we set out to create a quiz that doesn't ask you to study, or even to know that much - most of the answers are there for you on the night if you look hard enough. Plus they require to discuss and think about it with your team. Which is what the evening should be about - teamwork and conversation, where no one is left out for not knowing the subject.
And, judging by some of the feedback we've received, we've managed just that!
We've got two more quizzes lined up, one at Weston on April 29th and then at Horfield on May 13th. So don't hesitate - head to the booking page and grab your tickets now! £5.00 a head for dinner and a fun quizzy evening is an absolute steal!
